Terms of use

These terms took effect on October 7, 2026. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree to them, please do not use NACMATE.

Who we are

NACMATE is operated by Code Kubic Solutions (Company No. 2663998-P), a company registered in Malaysia. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company. You can reach us at hello@nacmate.com.

What this service is

NACMATE is a study tool. It is not the NAC Examination, and using it neither qualifies you for nor guarantees a result on any examination. NACMATE is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the Medical Council of Canada.

Not medical advice

Station content is written for examination practice. It is not clinical guidance, it is not a reference for treating a real patient, and it must not be used as one. Practice cases are constructed scenarios and the patients in them are fictional.

Content written by a language model

The simulated patient's replies are voiced by a language model, but only from facts our code wrote for that station; if a model tries to say something those facts do not contain, our code discards it and has the patient say the authored sentence instead. The examiner's lines are fixed text our code wrote: a model only chooses which one applies to what you did, and never writes new words for the examiner. The transcription of anything you speak is produced by a third-party language model. The feedback written about a session is assessed by a model against the station's fixed criteria, and every quotation it cites is checked by our code against the transcript before you see it; a citation that does not check out is marked for review rather than shown as settled. All of this can still be wrong, incomplete, or inconsistent with each other. Station content was adapted from physician-written material with the help of language models and cross-checked by three independent model passes. No physician has reviewed the content. If something in a station surprises you, treat it as a flaw in the simulation and check it against a clinical reference.

What we do not promise

  • We do not predict your examination result. Feedback describes what happened in a practice session; it is not a score on the MCC's scale and it is not a pass or fail verdict.
  • We do not promise the service is always available, and features described as in development may change or not ship.

Your account

You must be at least 18 to create an account. One account per person. Keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us at hello@nacmate.com if you think someone else has used it.

Credits and payment

Practice runs on credits. One credit runs one station, and it is spent when you begin the station, in the same step that opens it. Every new account is credited 3 free stations. Credits do not expire, cannot be moved to another account, and cannot be exchanged for money.

Leaving a station does not give the credit back. A station you leave before the end is paused where you left it and stays on your list to resume, and its credit stays spent whether you go back to it or not. The clock stops when you leave and when you press Pause; if your connection drops without warning, it keeps running for a short grace period before it stops on its own.

Purchases are not open yet: nothing can be bought on NACMATE today, and no payment details are collected anywhere on it. This section describes how a purchase will work once purchases are open. When you buy credits, packs will be priced on the pricing page in Canadian dollars, before tax; the sales tax your province or territory charges will be added at checkout. Payment will be taken by Stripe, and we will never see or store your full card number. The price you pay will be the one shown at checkout.

Refunds

When purchases are open and you buy credits, that purchase is final: as a policy, we do not give refunds. A spent credit has nothing left to return. An unspent credit could be returned, but as a matter of policy we do not refund those either — this is a choice we are stating now, before purchases open, so it is part of what you agree to rather than a surprise later.

This does not take away any right that the consumer protection law where you live gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract, including a remedy where the service is not as described.

If, once purchases are open, something goes wrong on our side — such as being charged twice or in error, or a station that could not run because of a fault in the service — write to hello@nacmate.com and we will put it right by restoring the credit or refunding the charge. Please write to us before disputing a charge with your card issuer; most problems are quicker to fix directly. If a charge is reversed through a dispute, we may remove the credits it paid for.

Acceptable use

Do not copy station content out of the service to redistribute it, sell it, or use it to train a machine learning model. Do not attempt to break, overload or probe the service or to reach another person's account, and do not use automated tools to scrape it. Do not use it to harass anyone.

Speak in a station the way you would speak to a patient. Do not put personal information about a real patient, a colleague or yourself into a session: what you say is sent to a third-party model provider, as the privacy policy explains.

What you send us

You keep ownership of what you say in a station and of anything you write to us. By sending us feedback, a report of a problem, or a suggestion, you let us act on it and use it to improve the service without owing you anything for it. We do not use your practice sessions for anything but running your own account, as the privacy policy describes.

Content ownership

Station content and the site are ours or licensed to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own examination practice while you have an account. Your practice sessions belong to you; we store them so you can use them, and we delete them when you ask.

Availability

We work to keep the service running, but it may be down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. If a fault on our side stops a station you had begun, write to us and we will restore the credit.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including under the consumer protection law of your province or territory. Subject to that, and as far as the law allows:

  • the service is provided as a practice aid, with no promise that its content is complete, accurate, or fit for any clinical purpose;
  • we are not responsible for any clinical decision made in reliance on anything here;
  • we are not responsible for your examination result, for lost income or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss; and
  • our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose and CAD $100.

Ending your use

You may stop using NACMATE at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that appears to be shared, or where we reasonably suspect fraud.

If your account is closed — because you close it or ask us to delete it, or because we close it under this section — any unused credits are forfeited and are not refunded. Nothing in this section removes the rights described under Refunds that the law does not let us exclude.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page and email account holders at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you may close your account before it takes effect. A change does not apply to credits you bought before it where it would leave you worse off, and if you close your account for that reason, we will refund any unused credits you paid for before the change rather than treat them as forfeited.

General

These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about NACMATE. If a part of them is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not insist on a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else; we may transfer them to a successor to the service, and will tell you if we do.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.

If you are a consumer in Canada, you keep every protection that the consumer protection law of your province or territory gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract. For a consumer in Quebec, that includes the Consumer Protection Act of Quebec. Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing proceedings in the courts where you live, where that law allows you to. If you live in another country whose law gives you protections that cannot be contracted out of, you keep those too.
