NAC OSCE dates, centres and application windows
This guide gathers the scheduling details the Medical Council of Canada publishes for the NAC Examination. Dates and centres change, so treat each one as the MCC's current statement, check the MCC page before you plan around it, and do not rely on a copy.
How often it runs
The NAC Examination is offered in limited exam centres twice a year, in the spring and fall, typically in May and September. (Source: NAC Examination scheduling, Medical Council of Canada)
Application windows
For the May 2027 session, applications open on November 18, 2026, and close on December 9, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. (Source: NAC Examination scheduling, Medical Council of Canada)
Earlier sessions had their own windows, which have closed. The MCC page is the place to check which window is open now.
Exam dates and centres
The May 2027 session is scheduled for May 1, 2027. (Source: NAC Examination scheduling, Medical Council of Canada)
The MCC lists the May 2027 centres as Edmonton, Winnipeg, Hamilton, London, Ottawa, Toronto, Windsor and Saskatoon. Ottawa is the only centre marked as offering French, and the MCC says the exam is offered in English at all centres. (Source: NAC Examination scheduling, Medical Council of Canada)
Candidates are told their assigned centre about six weeks before the exam. Centre changes are not possible after assignment. (Source: NAC Examination scheduling, Medical Council of Canada)
When results arrive
Results will be available about 8 weeks after your exam date. (Source: NAC Examination scheduling, Medical Council of Canada)
What the MCC does not guarantee
The MCC says that specific session dates are not guaranteed, and that dates and centres are subject to change. (Source: NAC Examination scheduling, Medical Council of Canada)
The MCC page does not list exam centres for the September 2026 session, which has already run. For anything not on that page, the MCC is the authority.
Preparing around the dates
Working back from an exam date is easier when you know the window closes weeks before it. Plan your practice for the months before the window, not only the weeks before the exam, and keep a spoken practice schedule that does not depend on a single date.
